Profiles that seem to come from a Parisian salon of another age, leather that ages gracefully and tells the story of those who live with it. Colette is the chair with which Roberto Lazzeroni draws on his "infinite catalogue of memory" and brings it into the present, around the dining table, at the desk or at the kitchen island. Roberto Lazzeroni, a Tuscan architect and designer, has always worked with what he calls "the infinite catalogue of memory": shapes we know and feel familiar with, rethought for today. Colette was born from this. A chair with classic profiles and nothing nostalgic about it, because its proportions and details are thoroughly contemporary.
For Baxter, leather is a living, evolving element with a story to tell. Colette is a portrait of that idea: fine leather wraps the seat and back and meets carefully selected woods in a warm, tailored pairing. Over the years the surface softens, catches the light and follows the gestures of the people who use it: a chair that gets better rather than wearing out.
Colette is more than a chair. It comes with or without arms, as a more comfortable armchair for long dinners and conversations, as a stool in two heights for the kitchen island or bar, and as Colette Office for the study. Leather, colour and wood finish can all be chosen to match the table and the rest of the room.
Around a statement table, Colette with arms at the heads and without arms along the sides creates an elegant rhythm. In our showroom you can sit down, touch Baxter's leathers and see how the colours change next to the wood.
