Eileen comes from Baxter's in-house design studio, the Como-area company that has spent decades taking leather to places nobody expects. It is a modular system made to be enjoyed indoors and out with the same comfort: an armchair, a matching pouf and a loveseat for two, all of which can change shape. The best idea is a simple one: move the backrest and the module becomes a daybed.
Leather, steel and softness
The shapes are full and rounded, with upholstery that welcomes you like a living room sofa. What draws the outline are the leather trims, which Baxter calls "precious": they run along the seat and give every piece a tailored feel. Underneath sits an antiqued steel frame, warm and slightly lived-in, that pairs beautifully with wood, stone and greenery.
A system that follows your day
An armchair for your morning coffee, a daybed for an afternoon with a book, a loveseat to share in the evening. Eileen comes in an Open Air version, designed for living rooms, sunrooms and the spaces between house and garden, and in an Outdoor version for terraces and the pool deck. Cushions and a small side table complete the system, and Baxter's catalog also includes the larger Eileen XL family.
Our advice
If you have a sunroom or a covered porch, that is where Eileen really shines: two armchairs side by side with the pouf in between make a small lounge, and with the backrest moved you have a spot for a nap. Come to our showroom to try the backrest movement and feel the leather trims for yourself. You will see right away why it does not feel like outdoor furniture.
