Piero Lissoni has long been Living Divani's art director and is behind many of the brand's best-known pieces. The Floyd-Hi bed made its debut in 2019 at IMM Cologne as a natural evolution of the sofa whose name it shares. From the sofa it takes its most recognisable idea: large, soft cushions resting on a lowered headboard, creating a play of heights, joints and textures in the name of three-dimensionality and clean lines.
A bed for living, not just for sleeping
The headrest cushion is filled with washed and sterilised goose down, stitched into separate compartments around a polyurethane core. It invites you to sit up, read or have breakfast in bed. Headboard and bed frame are built from multilayer poplar and honeycomb fir panels, padded with polyurethane foam in different densities and layers of fibre, and the frame rests on a tubular steel chassis.
The detail of the feet
The bed stands on laser-cut sheet steel feet with a gunmetal grey powder coating, each resting on a satin brass disc. It is the same signature, part classic and part high-tech, that runs through the whole Floyd-Hi family. The fabric or leather upholstery is fully removable thanks to zips and Velcro, and Floyd-Hi comes as a single or a double bed.
Our advice
If your living room already has a Living Divani sofa, Floyd-Hi carries the same language into the bedroom. If you want something even softer and more enveloping, compare it with the Living Divani Extrasoft bed. In our showroom we will help you choose the size and the fabric or leather and picture the bed in your own room.
