ABOUT THIS GUIDE

Everything you need to know before buying Ligne Roset

This guide by Marchese 1930, official Ligne Roset dealer, covers the brand's history, its key models with starting prices, materials and customisation, trade conditions for professionals and how we deliver Ligne Roset anywhere in the world.

01 — Brand history

Ligne Roset: French Design Tradition since 1860

Ligne Roset is a French family company whose history goes back to 1860, when the Roset workshop made wooden items such as umbrella frames, walking sticks and chair rungs. Furniture production began in the 1950s.

The turning point came with designer Michel Ducaroy, who in 1973 created Togo: a low, enveloping seat built entirely in multi-density polyether foam, which became one of the best-known sofas in the history of design.

Since then Ligne Roset has worked with many international designers, including Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Christian Werner and Inga Sempé, and produces sofas, armchairs, beds, tables, storage and accessories.
