The starting point is the Belle Époque, when gardens were places of leisure and conversation, and the curves of Art Nouveau. Flexform describes clearly defined lines held in check and carefully calibrated proportions, and frames the collection around «dolce far niente». On the chair, that becomes a steel tube bent into lobes, like daisy petals, wrapped in cord.
The Flexform Margherì outdoor dining chair: stainless steel and cord
The frame is tubular stainless steel, epoxy powder-coated, with a compact laminate panel and feet with thermoplastic tips. The back is wrapped in polypropylene cord, woven in six colors (sand, anthracite, burgundy, green, white, brown) or matte in four (natural, ice, anthracite, straw). The seat cushion is variable-density polyurethane foam sealed in a water-repellent laminated fabric, with a removable cover. A polyester fiber back cushion can be added on request.
Colors and the dining table
The frame comes in twelve shades: five epoxy finishes (white, burgundy, khaki green, matte burnished titanium, glossy gray) and seven embossed lacquers (white, sand, brick, terracotta, sage green, forest green, anthracite). Around a stone table, terracotta chairs with natural cord feel Mediterranean. In white with sand cord, a terrace stays bright and calm.
