The Lema Glee sofa came out in 2022. It was designed by Officinadesign Lema, the company's in-house design team, and Lema sums it up in two traits: clean lines and soft volumes. Glee is modular and freestanding, so it can float in the middle of a room. You build it from single-seat modules. Each center module, each end unit and the ottoman come in lengths from 80 to 110 cm (31.5 to 43.3 in), in 5 cm (2 in) steps.
Inside the Lema Glee sofa
Under the upholstery sits a frame of solid wood and plywood. The seat rests on elastic straps with a high rubber content. Lema pads the frame with polyurethane foams of different densities, then wraps it in a layer of fiber bonded to fabric, held in place with Velcro. Seat cushions have a high-density polyurethane core and a quilted Microflock top layer in virgin polyester. The back cushions are 55 x 55 cm (21.7 x 21.7 in). They're filled with visco-fiber chips around a polyurethane insert that won't lose its shape, so a quick fluff in the morning brings them back. The feet are black ABS with a non-slip rubber pad.

The arms are low. They keep the sofa visually light, even when the layout runs long. A few narrow modules make a compact sofa for a city apartment. Go with 110 cm units and the ottoman in front, and it becomes your Sunday afternoon spot. The lines have a classic streak, which is why Glee looks right in a prewar home or a new build.
